Adorable Waylon is a 7 month old cat that has struggled with respiratory issues since he was found in a field back in August as a several week old kitten. He loves to play, snuggle, and hang out with his foster family! He has been on numerous antibiotics, scoped for nose polyps, and it was recently discovered that he needs specialized surgery to have a chance at overcoming his respiratory issues. The surgery is called Ventral Bulla Osteotomy and it is being done to remove an inflammatory polyp in his middle ear. It is believed that Waylon either suffered a head injury or was born with a genetic defect that has caused his issues and the surgery has a high chance of solving his respiratory problems.
HSSC is asking the community for help in raising the funds for Waylon’s surgery that is scheduled for 3/26/20 when the specialist comes to Seven Bends Veterinary Hospital. The specialized surgery is estimated to be $2500 and HSSC has already spent several thousand dollars on Waylon to date trying to make him better and diagnose the root cause of his problem. HSSC would like to thank his recent foster parents, Marisa Mumaw and Nate Ryman who are lovingly caring for him and also actively soliciting businesses within their circle of family and friends for donations.
