A recent adopter shared this story with us in memory of their beloved Sammi.
“When we went to get a kitten for our cat, we ended up taking Idgy’s (the kitten) sister, Sammi, too. We were worried about going from one to three cats and whether they’d bond with each other instead of us. It turned out Sammi was everybody’s favorite. She was very talkative, always in the midst of the action, and as sweet as any cat ever was. When we sold our house, people left reviews that said they liked the house but LOVED the cat. She played fetch and loved aluminum foil balls and twistie ties like you find wrapped around cords. We’ll never again unwrap a new piece of electronics without thinking of her. In addition to playing hard, she napped hard and loved to be with her people. She never missed an opportunity to join us in one of our naps. We see pieces of her in Forrest and Dani and think she would be happy knowing they were looking after us now. But she’ll always hold a special place in our hearts. She was one very bossy, well-loved cat.”
After grieving the loss of Sammi it was decided they needed someone to fill the space left in their hearts. We thank them so much for adopting Lt. Danielle & Forrest.
